Our Story
The story of Hearts Knit Together starts in 2007 with a small group of elderly women. They had seen many trials in life and decided they wanted to do something to make the world a little brighter. While they had very little in the way of worldly wealth, they had willing hearts and a desire to share their talents with others. They taught each other to knit and crochet hats and scarves, and gathered hygiene items to make a little gift package to give to those in need. Our Founder, Linda Simmons, joined with them, helped them see their potential, and worked tirelessy to grow their efforts into a thriving 501c3 non-profit. Now, all these years later, over 58,000 kits have been given to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and refugees finding their home in Utah. We are forever grateful for these women who show us that you don't need to be wealthy to give, only willing! We are honored to carry on their legacy of faith, dedication and service.
